How to Move On...
This isn't going to be the happiest post you've ever seen, but hopefully it is informative.
Today I am going to talk about moving on. This can be applied to friendships, relationships and anything else where you have to keep walking forward and put the past in the past.
At first after whatever type of loss you have you are going to be sad and confused and unsure of what to do. I always just try to not to think about it too much because over-thinking can be a very bad thing. It isn't always easy to just stop thinking of someone or an event that was so monumental to you, but just try to not go places or do certain things that bring back those memories to trigger your sadness. However, don't let this event hold you back from doing what you want to do and living your life. You are strong and you deserve to not have the weight of this hanging over you like a storm cloud.
Give it time. Don't expect to feel better within a day, give it time, give yourself the time to reconnect with yourself and come to terms with what had happened. Talking about it to another friend, family member or whoever can be greatly beneficial. You don't want to keep these things inside of you because then you'll be like a bomb that you can't control and you'll never know when it's going to explode.
Find someone new. I'm not saying that one week after an awful breakup you should jump into a new relationship, but after you give it time you might want to. It doesn't have to be a boyfriend or girlfriend it could just be a new friend to hangout with and do new exciting things.
Lastly remember you don't need that person to be happy. There's so many amazing people in this world so don't let one person rule your life.

Advice For Incoming High School Freshmen! (or other grades)
Some of you may be starting high school soon so I decided to write down and share some tips that may help you other grades as well!
1.) Don't try to act better than anyone else (this applies to anytime in life too!) you are a freshman, the youngest ones in the whole school. Seniors won't think you are cool so don't even try. Just remember YOU ARE A FRESHMAN!
2.) Know that high school is not what it appears to be on TV. You won't get shoved in a locker, get your lunch money stolen, or be able to talk to your friends for 20 minutes between classes.
3.) Don't block the hallways! If you do the upperclassmen will have no sympathy and walk right through you or start yelling at you to move faster. No one likes someone that blocks the hallways we all have somewhere to go and are limited on time.
4.) This connects with the last one. Don't be a slow walker! This is probably one of the most annoying things ever! Like I said before we all have places to go and are limited on time!
5.) Use study halls and free periods to your advantage! Don't waste these away staring at the wall or scrolling through twitter on your phone. Get your homework done so you won't have so much to do when you get home.
6.) Know there will be an end. Freshmen year will eventually come to a close to don't get stressed. Just know that you can get through it
7.) Get your homework done ASAP. Don't procrastinate! Once you hit high school you have more responsibility and are no longer babied. You need to be more mature and take matters in to your own hands.
8.) Get involved in extra-curricular activities! If sports aren't your thing join clubs. You do need to start thinking about college even if you don't want to think about it. Joining clubs will look good on college applications and will give you a chance to meet new people!
9.) Participate! Go to football games (or anysporting event), participate in pep-rallys, you will be happy you did!
10.) Enjoy high school in general because before you know it you'll be a senior.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post! and hope it helped you!

Playing a high school sport!
So guys, I would like you guys to be the first to know that I made my high school volleyball team or my sophomore year! I'm so excited and it will be so great to start actually playing again. Anyways, I didn't blog today to talk about today. I'm going to be sharing with you guys my "tips" to being on a school sports team.
1.) Commitment!
You made this team for a reason. Your coach sees potential in you and you should make sure you don't disappoint. Make sure that you know that this is a commitment. Don't skip practice or not show up to games just because something else less important came up. Keep your commitment and don't let you or your team down.
2.) Try your best!
Whatever sport you play, you have to be trying as hard as you can. You need to be giving 110% to yourself and to your team. Be aggressive! You know you are good so go be good. Take control and never let anyone try to control you.
3.) NEVER give up.
Giving up is probably the worst thing you could do on a team. Everyone is counting on you so why would you let them down? You can do this. No matter what you say you can't do, you can put your mind to it and actually manage to get through it. Make goals and never let go of them. You are special, so why don't you show the world that.
4.) Mistakes.
You are human. You make silly mistakes like everyone else on this planet. Learn from your mistakes. Make the best out of them. Never let a mistake scare you out of playing or out of living your life.
3.) Managing school.
When you are on a school sport you will have practices and games. You will have homework to do also. You need to make sure you are getting your homework and school stuff done. In high school especially, you will have homework and your teachers are not going to just except a late assignment. Whether you do your homework before your sport or after, you need to get it done. School is extremely important, so make sure you still make it a very high priority in your life.
Okay so I hope that you guys enjoyed but also learned from this blog. I feel very strongly on all the topics that I mentioned and I hope you all do too! Good luck with your sports this year and thank you for reading :)
Love you all!

How to Beat the Summer Heat!
Hey you guys! Where we live it gets very hot in the summer (80-90 degrees) so I decided to share with you my tips for beating the summer heat!
#1. Drink lots of water, water is healthy and not loaded with sugars and calories like a soda. You should be drinking somewhere around 8 cups (2 liters) of water a day. If you are not thirsty than you are doing well. We need to keep hydrated since our bodies are about 60% water and to keep from being dehydrated which can eventually lead to death!
#2. If you have long hair wear it up off your neck, this seems quite obvious, but I always see people with long thick hair complaining about the heat with their hair down on their neck. There's tons of cute up-do's that you can rock in the summer time!
#3. Wear light material clothing as well as light colors. You want to wear light breathable fabric to not suffocate your skin the the hot months, but you also want to dress in light colors. Light colors will reflect some of the suns rays ultimately keeping you cooler. Plus the summer tends to be lighter and brighter anyways so why shouldn't your clothes be!
#4. If you want to workout do it in the morning or at night. As the day progresses the heat increases. The sun is highest in the sky at noon causing the most direct sunlight, which in turn makes it hotter however there is a delay causing the excess heat to not be felt until around 3 p.m. You will be more comfortable working out if it isn't as hot, so get your day started early or hold off until the sun goes down.
So I hope these tips helped and I will talk to you guys next Thursday!
xoxo Nicole

#5. Have a lighter/waterproof makeup routine. In the summer let's face it we sweat. When you sweat it can tend to have a negative affect on your makeup. To help from makeup meltdown wear a lighter makeup routine and waterproof it. That way you will be sweat proof and in case you decide to go for a swim you will already be prepared!
So I hope these tips helped and I will talk to you guys next Thursday!

Products I Regret Buying!
For me I buy ALOT (almost a freakish amount) of makeup/cosmetic items. Most of the time I end up liking the product, but unfortunately sometimes I don't. DISCLAIMER: just because the products I am about to show I regret buying doesn't (bolded, italicised, and underlined) mean you shouldn't try them out I will explain why the product didn't work for me or why I regretted the purchase.
The first item I regret buying is the URBAN DECAY De Slick Makeup Setting Spray (http://www.urbandecay.com/) Now it is not that I don't think this product works, because I do think that this product does help reduce the amount of oil I do notice on my face throughout the day. Now hear me out if you have oily skin (like mwahh) then I would recommend this product if you have normal to dry skin I don't personally think it would be worth the $29 that you would spend. The reason I regret buying this is because 1. I am a lazy lazy girl and don't like extra steps and 2. I therefore neglect the use of this product.SORRY I AM LAZY

The second product I regret buying is the China Glaze Nail Polish in Yellow Polka Dot Bikini
This product for me SUCKS it went on streaky, sheer, and was a complete fail! It took 5 coats to get the color you see in the bottle and didn't apply smoothly at all! (http://chinaglaze.com/)
The final product I regret buying was the Rimmel London Glam' Eyes Liquid Liner in Black Glamour (http://us.rimmellondon.com/) for me the brush to this liner (yes brush not felt tip which I already didn't like) is very very very flimsy making it hard do get a nice straight line. The applicator is also very very very thin to a point that it is almost hard to make any kind of noticable line. I find myself going over the liner multiple times to get a decent thinkness.
So I hoped you enjoyed this blog post! I will talk to you guys next Thursday!

Summer Heat vs. Winter Chill
Alright. So today we're talking seasons. I think we all love not going to school in the summer time. The freedom to do whatever we want, whenever we want, wherever we want. It's great. But I feel like people over exaggerate the greatness of summer. Yes, you do get to swim and tan...if you can...but is winter really that bad? Winter is magical. If you live in the right place you can get snow. You get to wear nice, cute sweaters and leggings. You can experiment with different boots and hats and curl up by the fire with a warm blanket. I guess this all really depends on personal preference, but in my opinion I like winter WAY better than summer.
Alright, well I hope you guys enjoyed this... Hopefully my next blog will be a little bit more upbeat. I'll talk to you guys next time!
