Late Night Rant: Popularity

Its everywhere. In school, in work, in just about any place you go. Popularity is the social contest of life. Even though some of us try to not care about it, we still do. We're reminded everyday about the importance of being popular, and without it you are nobody. But we always forget one thing...popularity does NOT define us. No matter how popular you might be or you might think you are, you are still you. It doesnt matter if you are the least known person in school, or the least "normal", you are YOU. Don't let anyone ever take that away from you. Your personality and the way you act make you different, and in this world different is what you need to stand out and stop blending in with the pack.
Thanks for listening to my late night rant (; I think im gonna start doing these more often! Definitely tell me if you want me to. Well i'll talk to you guys sooon...BYE!

Perfect lives or drama filled?

I don't know about you (but I'm feeling 22..sorry I had to make a Taylor Swift reference) but personally I would hate it my parents named North West, but if you are Kim Kardashian or Kanye West it seems like an amazing idea.
There have been a lot of interesting stories in the media this past week or so. Like the "North West" thing. Also Paula Deen's racist slur and "apology" which a lot of people aren't accepting as one. There's also the drama of the Michael Jackson death trial thing. With his kids testifying.. Or at least Prince is. Halle Berry is trying to take a stand against paparazzi and get laws set into place to protect children against the paparazzi.
Regardless this week in particular is another demonstration of how non-perfect celebrity lives are. We see there lives as perfect but they really are not. I mean some crazed fan is climbing on Rihanna's roof. Creepy.
Anyways I personally probably watch way too much E! News but whatever it's "interesting" right?! Oh well.

I will talk to you guys very soon! Hopefully a video will be uploaded very soon since Corinne finished editing one last night and I'll start one tomorrow:)

Bye! xoxo ~nicole

Haullll!!!!!

I may or may not have a slight addiction to shopping. Mainly shopping for makeup. I can't go in to any store that sells makeup and not walk out with something. I recently went to Ulta sooo I decided to show you guys what I bought.

First I picked up the NYX Wonder Pencil it is a "Concealer, Eye Brightener, Reverse Lip Liner in One."  It retails at Ulta for around $4.50. The NYX website (http://www.nyxcosmetics.com) claims it is "the essential pencil that fulfills all of your beauty desires." It comes in three shades : Light(WP01), Medium(WP02), and Deep(WP03).

I also got another NYX eyeliner this one is the NYX Retractable Eye Liner mine is in deep blue(MPE14). This also retails for $4.50. I enjoy retrectable liners because you don't need to sharpen them. I own another one of these liners from NYX and I really enjoy them. These come in 18 shades.

Third thing I got was also from NYX (they were having a buy one get one 50% off sale) was another one of the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils.  These are pretty popular and I personally love them. The one I bought is in 601 Black Bean. These are great bases for any eyeshadow and they have tons of colors. They retail for $4.50 as well.  These come in 32 shades!

Next I got a lip product from NYX it's the NYX Butter Gloss in Peaches and Cream. It smells amazing and is pigminted which I love because that's something alot of gloss lack. It also lacks any stickiess which is also a must have. These retail for $5.00 and are relatively new to NYX Cosmetics. These come in 12 shades.

Last thing I bought was a Covergirl LipPerfection Jumbo Gloss Balm they have a "Sheer color, soft shine." You can get these for around $8.99 and they come in 16 shades. They are infused with Shea and Mango butters. They also are not sticky at all. The shade I bought was 215 Watermelon Twist. You can guy these at Ulta or other drugstores and www.Covergirl.com

Hope you guys enjoyed this blog post and I will talk to you guys soon!

Finals😑

We all have them. They are what we dread all year. We want summer vacation  but we don't want to have to do these first. Yep you guessed it, today were talking about finals. Summer vacation is right around the corner, but before we get to bask in the sun we have to take multiple tests on all the information we have learned all year. And by information, I mean the stuff that teacher think we know but honestly we have no clue what they are talking about. For instance, formulas for math. I get that maybe we might need one or two formulas that they teach us, but I don't think that anytime soon I will be calculating relative error. I hate finals, along with every other teenager in the nation and even world. I say instead of taking finals, we get to eat chocolate and ride unicorns...who's with me?!

Random Thoughts

"Never Let The Fear Of Striking Out Keep You From Playing The Game" {A Cinderella Story}

I've always been one of those people who is scared to try new things and likes to stay inside of their comfort zone. I don't stray from what I know and what I am used to. Sometimes I get anxiety towards new things and venturing outside of this barrier I surround myself in. When I find myself doing this and not being able to expand and move out of this rut I try to remember this quote.
This quote is one of my favorites it reminds me that even when there is the possibility of failing (which is always possible) that I shouldn't let that nervousness and anxiety rule my decisions and actions in life.
It helps me think more rationally and calmly and makes me want to be more adventurous. This is not to say that I don't try new things; I do. However, there are certain things I don't think I'll ever stop doing and want to find something new to replace it.

This is kind of a sad and more serious post but I just thought I'd change things up a bit. Sorry about the lack of posts but since schools almost out its starts getting crazy with finals and such.

Talk to you guys soon! -Nicole
